About the size of a large ear of corn and over a pound

Total weight gain?

Up 11 1/2 pounds total

Maternity clothes?

 Yes, and I've changed my mind about maternity pants. They annoy me.

Sleep?

Negative. Sweets has been sick and that always destroys sleep in our house.

Best moment of the week?

We had a great time at the Purple Foot Festival with GaGa and PaPa this weekend - Sweets and I hit up the cheese table more than once, being that I couldn't do any sampling of the vino!

Food cravings?

 Nothing in particular this week

Food aversions?

 None

Symptoms?

 Nothing too major this week. Some heartburn after eating my beloved Mexican food. Ever-decreasing bladder control. Distressing.

Movement?

 Big time. The kicks, rolls and squirms are visible from the outside very frequently now. So awesome, and yet so alien-esque.

Gender?

 I purchased some coming-home-from-the-hospital outfits last weekend - two boy and two girl. They are so, SO tiny!

What I’m looking forward to?

 Sweets getting well and the return of a full night's sleep

What I miss?

SLEEEEEEEEEEEEP

Weekly Wisdom?

Sweets: "What color are mine eyes?"

Me: "Your eyes are brown."

Sweets: "What color are your eyes?"

Me: "My eyes are green. What color do you think baby brother or baby sister's eyes are going to be?"

Sweets: "Both!"

Milestones?

Viability! At 24 weeks, baby is considered by most medical personnel to be viable outside the womb, not that I would ever want that to happen!

Up 10 pounds total

 Is this question really necessary anymore?

Sleep?

Improving, slowly but surely

Best moment of the week?

First day of preschool for my little man!

Food cravings?

 Still on a fresh peach kick. Made a pan of peach crisp that is to die for!

Food aversions?

 None

Symptoms?

 Still having random Braxton Hicks - nothing regular and they're not increasing in any way. I remember when I was pregnant with Sweets my midwife said I had an "irritable uterus," which I find hilarious, because my uterus apparently has a personality just like me ;)

Movement?

 Sometimes I feel a big, rolling movement and wonder if there's a gymnastic event happening in there. At our ultrasound baby was head up, so just a gentle reminder, baby, at some point you do need to flip over...

Gender?

 Oh man, I still don't have an inkling. But thanks to my friend M we are having lots of fun perusing "The Baby Name Wizard" and starting to feel like we actually might generate a name for our second offspring ;)

What I’m looking forward to?

Maybe someday in the near future feeling like I'm in command of my work life again

My belly button is looking awfully shallow these days...could it be getting ready to pop out?

First day of school

I am officially the mother of a preschooler! And today was my baby's first, first, ever day of school! He was excited, and I alternated between total awe of how big and old he is and trying not to make a complete fool of myself by crying in the middle of his classroom.

There he is, all ready to go!

It truly is the start of a new chapter for our family and although I have massive anxiety about the amount of germs he'll be exposed to this year, I am looking forward to seeing what's in store!
