34 Weeks

How far along? 

34 weeks...time is flying!

How big is baby? 

The size of a cantelope and nearly 5 pounds

Total weight gain?

Up 18 pounds, according to the home scale

Maternity clothes?

 Oh, not just clothes, people. This week I had to invest in a super attractive "maternity support belt." I need some assistance making it through the last 6 weeks with this big ole' belly weighing me down. It hurts!

Sleep?

By and large, not great. I guess that's just the way it is at this point.

Best moment of the week?

Lots of great moments this week as we celebrated Thanksgiving with our families. We really do have so much to be thankful for!

Food cravings?

 Thanksgiving leftovers = awesome

Labor Signs?

 Pass!

Symptoms?

Achiness and pressure...I don't recall experiencing that to this degree with my first pregnancy. Also, the Braxton Hicks contractions, while still random and relatively infrequent, are sometimes pretty intense. Good practice, I guess!

Movement?

Crazy baby...still movin' and groovin'

Gender?

Really not long until we find out! Sweets has decided he would like a baby brother, so they "can do boy things." Too cute! And today he informed me that baby brothers play with John Deere tractors, but baby sisters play with "dolls and stuff." Amazing how attuned kids are to gender stereotyping, isn't it? 

What I’m looking forward to?

My bestie's DC winter wedding in just a week! 

What I miss?

Being able to reach my feet...or see them. Thanks mom, for taking off my month old nail polish ;)

Weekly Wisdom?

I'm pretty sure it's a requirement of all Motherhood Maternity employees that you be super annoying and pushy

Milestones?

I bought something labeled a support garment. I think that's milestone enough for this week.
